Dr. Khan received his medical degree from Dow Medical College in 1989. His internship in general medicine and surgery was completed at Civil Hospital in 1990. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York in 1995 where he received the Best Resident Award in 1993. Fellowship training in cardiology was also completed at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY in 1998. Dr. Khan was also recognized as outstanding fellow.
Dr. Khan is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He specializes in clinical and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Khan is a member of the American College of Cardiology, and is also a member of the Alabama Medical Association and the Madison County Medical Society.
